This was my third time shooting a World Cup at Zolder. While I’ve somewhat figured out where to shoot from, and how to get to particular spots on the course, the process of editing always takes a while. Since I’m part of the Euro Cross Camp, I photograph the Junior and U23 races as much as I shoot the Men’s and Women’s elite races. This easily leads to over 2,000 images to sift through. But once I’m through the process, I’m always satisfied. And at Zolder this year, the satisfaction was even greater with one of the Juniors, Logan Owen, landing on the 2nd step of the podium. Most times when the riders from the camp do well, I feel like I get as much satisfaction out of it as they do. And as a result, the galleries on my website are peppered with Euro Cross Campers, as well as the top pros. The Zolder gallery reflects a bit of this.
